Syöte area

Syöte – where hilly forests and national park invite you to be active in the nature all year round.

Syöte is located in the municipality of Pudasjärvi and is the southernmost fell area in Finland. In Winter Syöte is known to be one of the snowiest places in Finland, which means there is plenty of snow for all sorts of winter activities. For adventure seekers the frosty covered trees and the hilly terrain offer an unforgettable winter wonderland.

Dog-sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing – Syöte activates you in many ways. Here you can find also two ski resorts with tens of slopes, which offer great opportunities for down-hill skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

Syöte has also known for its versatile routes for biking all year round. In Winter you can access snowy routes with fatbikes, and in summer mountainbiking in the nature trails of the national park is an experience like no other!

At the moment many new things are happening in Syöte. New accommodations have been opened recently and on the top Iso-Syöte fell a new luxury hotel is being built. The new LumiArena event centre at the bottom of the slope area makes it possible to organize bigger meeting and events for groups.
