Rent a horse for your free riding in a fenced field! It requires that you can manage the horse and control the horse in every gait. Those who ride freely must know how to pick up the horse from the stable, take care of it, saddle, mount, and ride completely independently without help. Safari starts from Hotel Iso-Syöte by snowmobile to the place where the huskies are eagerly waiting for visitors. After introduction to the huskies and instruction, you take off with the huskies, strongly pulling your sledge. The safari route goes through snowy forests and ice-covered swamps in Syöte area. There are stops to switch drivers and to take pictures.

Kicksledge glides and rides at 14:30
A real Finnish way of moving around when snow covers the paths. Kicksledges are big fun to glide down the hill and ‘kicking’ them upwards again with one leg while the other is standing on one glider to hold the grip. It takes some energy and action from yourself, but it gives big snowfun on the Iso-Syöte hilltop. Your efforts are rewarded when reaching the kota where the campfire will be made and coffee with bun will be served.

For us Finns, nature and forests are a part of our identity and where we feel safe. The program, held in the pristine environment of Syöte National Park, is suitable for forgetting busy work schedules, stressful thoughts, and work worries. The aim of the program is to strengthen the experience of being present and living in the moment with the exercises of the Forestmind method. You don’t need any previous experience, just come along to relax!

Snowshoeing trip to Syöte National Park at 17:00
Embark on a guided tour with your group! We walk calmly in Syöte’s old-grown forest where the mind and eyes get a rest. At times, we descend nice hills and climb over ridges to admire the winter nature around us.
During the trip you will hear about the history of the area, nature, and today’s park services.

Northern lights hunting by car at 20:00
On the northern lights trip, we drive away from the village lights, to the best northern lights viewing spots. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to admire the starry sky and witness the northern lights blazing. During the trip, the guide will tell you about the aurora as a phenomenon and related stories. At a suitable point in the trip, we enjoy hot juice and snacks.
Pick-up locations: Hotel Iso-Syöte (Isosyötteentie 246) at 7:45 p.m., Syöte Booking Centre (Romekievarintie 2) at 8:00 p.m.
